Podotech Gels Range
There are three types of gel in the Podotech Gels range which are designed to meet both performance and cost parameters.
Silicone Gel is universally recognised and accepted by the medical community as an excellent solution to podiatric cushioning. Silicone is considered to be the traditional-top-of-the-line material for contact with the skin. Silicone gel is extremely durable and hypoallergenic

- Washable with soap and water and reusable
- Do not support microbial or fungal growth.
- Can be enriched with essential natural oils, vitamins and anti-oxidants.
- Exudes a minimal amount of oil.

- Combinable with fabrics and material
- High-temperature resistance allows autoclaving (i.e., steam heating) for sterilization.
Mineral Oil Gel is a thermoplastic elastomer that is 100% medical grade and non-allergenic. The gel is an enriched formula that releases moisture and vitamins on contact, softening and soothing the driest of skin.
Benefits and Properties:
- Molds to the body where applied.
- Can be enriched with natural vitamins, minerals, essential oils and anti-oxidants.
- Gel acts as a delivery agent for soothing mineral oil, as well as additives.
- Long product life.
- Washable with soap and water and reusable.
- Do not support microbial or fungal growth.
- Can improve the appearance of scars.
- Combinable with fabrics and materials
Versatile Standard Gel is a thermoplastic elastomer that can be used in place of silicone gels in many higher-durometer footcare and orthotic applications. They conform and cushion to reduce friction and abrasion, absorb horizontal and shear forces, and relieve pressure.
