Durometer is a measure of hardness or resistance to indentation or penetration. Many of our products are available with dual durometer.
Elastomers are materials that resemble rubber, meaning they resume their original shape when a deforming force is removed.
Visco-elastic materials exhibit the qualities of a viscous liquid and elastomeric solid. Behaving in a manner similar to honey, viscous liquids flowing from a container will pull partly back into the container when it is quickly tipped up. Visco-elastic polymers behave more like solids at low temperatures and at fast deformation speeds. They are more like liquids at high temperatures and slow deformation speeds. Our M-GEL mineral-oil gels are visco-elastic compounds.
M-Gels are mineral based visco-elastic compounds are 100% medical grade, non allergenic and dermatologist-tested. They are available in soft to medium densities. S-Gels, however are non mineral based and can be formulated for hardness ranging from very soft to very firm.

Each of the products on this website are washable, it is recommended that you wash them by hand with soap and water only.
No silicones in the Podotech range should be heated or cooled.

The slim profile insoles are ideal for high heeled shoes -the thicker profile insoles are best suited to wear with boots or trainers. We offer a number of dress insoles with different features available with or without an antimicrobial cover.
